eGlue’s commitment to promoting sustainable practices within and outside the company continues. Thanks to funding from the call “BIKE, TO WORK & CITY LOGISTICS 2024” (CUP E99J24005410003), the company will launch a new study dedicated to analyzing e-bike commute journeys, with the aim of making cycling an increasingly concrete choice for employees.
A concrete and measurable mobility project
The study involves mapping the actual routes that can be traveled by bicycle, with a focus on the safety and accessibility of home-work routes. The data collected will help identify the optimal conditions to encourage the daily use of e-bikes, thus expanding the project already launched in 2024.
During the first year of the trial, eGlue awarded 7 e-bikes to employees residing in the municipalities surrounding the headquarters. In just a few months, over 12,000 kilometers have been traveled, with a certified saving of 2,000 kg of CO₂ avoided. A result tracked thanks to an IoT environmental monitoring system installed on each medium.
A long-term investment
The initiative is part of a larger project called GreenRide, which aims to combine technological innovation, environmental sustainability, and corporate welfare. The expansion of the study will allow for:
- involve a larger number of employees in the trial
- expand the fleet of available e-bikes
- make environmental data searchable in real time, promoting greater internal awareness
- promote a cultural change in urban mobility habits.
Sustainability as a strategic lever
For eGlue, investing in sustainable mobility means going beyond reducing emissions: it also means improving the psychological and physical well-being of employees, optimizing travel times, and contributing to the development of a healthier and more resilient urban environment.
With this new study, eGlue consolidates its position among Italian companies that choose to take concrete action to support the Twin Transition, promoting responsible and innovative work models.
